Privacy policy

Last Updated: March 24, 2026

website4free (a trading name of VYZRA) is committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains how we handle your information when you visit www.websiteforfree.uk or use our services.

1. Who We Are

website4free is the data controller. We are a trading name of VYZRA, based in Aberdeen, Scotland.

2. The Data We Collect

We collect and process the following information:

  • Identity & Contact: Name, business name, and email address.

  • Financial Data: Payments are processed via Wix Payments (supporting Card, Apple Pay, and Google Pay). We do not store or see your full card details; however, we receive transaction confirmations and partial billing info for tax purposes.

  • Communication Data: If you are on a Basic or Advanced plan, we process data via WhatsApp or our website chat tool to provide support.

  • Project Assets: Logos, text, and imagery you provide for your website build.

  • Technical Data: IP address and browser type for security and site optimization.

3. How We Use Your Data

We process your data under the following legal bases:

  1. Contractual Necessity: To build your site, manage your subscription, and provide the support hours included in your plan.

  2. Legal Obligation: To maintain accurate tax records and invoices.

  3. Legitimate Interests: To promote our services (see Section 9 of our Terms) and protect our site from fraud.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We share necessary data with trusted partners to run our business:

  • Wix.com: For website hosting, payment processing (Wix Payments), and CRM.

  • Meta (WhatsApp): For providing support to Basic and Advanced plan members.

  • VYZRA Creative: If you exceed our 50-SKU limit, we may share your contact details with our sister agency for a bespoke quote (only with your verbal or written consent).

5. International Data Transfers

Our service providers (like Wix and Meta) are based outside the UK (primarily in the USA). We ensure these providers offer equivalent protection through the use of Standard Contractual Clauses or other UK-approved data transfer mechanisms.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

Active Clients: We keep your data for the duration of your active plan.

Failed/Cancelled Payments: If a payment fails, your site goes offline. We retain your data for 30 days post-suspension. After 30 days, your site and associated data are permanently deleted.

Tax Records: We are required by UK law to keep basic financial records (invoices/billing info) for 6 years.

7. Your Legal Rights

Under the UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of the data we hold.

  • Correction: Ask us to update inaccurate info.

  • Erasure: Ask us to delete your data (this will result in the immediate termination of your website service).

  • Withdraw Consent: Opt-out of marketing emails at any time.

To exercise these rights, please contact info@website4free.uk.

8. How to Complain

If you have concerns, please contact us first so we can resolve them. If you remain unsatisfied, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at www.ico.org.uk.

9. Cancellations, Refunds, and Grace Periods

9.1 No Refunds: As payments are made only after the Client has approved the demo, all payments are strictly non-refundable.
9.2 Late Payments: If a payment fails, the Client has a two (2) business day grace period (excluding weekends and UK bank holidays) to settle the balance.
9.3 Suspension and Deletion: After the grace period, the site will be taken offline. Data is held for 30 days before permanent deletion.
9.4 Promotion: We reserve the right to use any website we design for our own promotional and advertising purposes.
